Haunted Dimensions… Day 5

Till sun sunk inside lunar beams, the mirror-pond reflected Amphisbaena’s mortification. Two heads, split essence. Physical mutation yet Baena’s soul hurt most.  There, by the waters edge, a rampart, descended  from the ancients, revealed millenniums of shame. Littered debris, desiccated skin hides peeled from bleach-boned carcasses, set in blood splattered broken crevices. 

Baena’s razor sharp tail, rattled and venom slid free—
