Dandelion Wisdom

Reading Time: 1 minute

The dandelions growing tall
with their saffron faces
so much more lioness
fast
etheral
playful
than the lawn
they grow out of it
even though they’re not
supposed to
even though no one wants them to
it makes you wonder
if believing something
so strongly makes it so
the way they are convinced
they belong
it’s the only way to grow
the only recourse to the
weed killer
hope in the midst of
holocaust’s storm

Someone skipping out the house
surveying none of the natural
things, nearly entirely blissful
and unaffected by
any
one
of
them

She touts her pearl white teeth
skinny legs
milk dud eyes
she is the only thing alive
today never noticing

so much
alive
thriving
beyond all of us
knowing some
things and
everything we
do not
