Ashes and Smoke…

Reading Time: 1 minute

I used to think I was a romantic
now I know I’m little more than
a man with a small heart and
big hopes lost in a pool
littered with many party
favors

I see poetry in everything
it’s there……
never palpable and never wanting to be converted to a
real form
I’m romantic like I’m a silhouette
made apparent but untouchable
honest and true as smoke from my shortening cigar

Synopsis
A collection of poetry written day by day, next to trash cans, in driveways, with whiskey, smoking cigars, while making love and giving and stealing— the way we live.
