A Heart Too Big…

Reading Time: 1 minute

Is it any wonder I’ve
never fit in?

Is it any wonder I’ve
always been
supper at lunch?

Is it any wonder I’ve always
seen the souls
that are living dead?

When the heart
is too big
the electricity
is arrhythmic.

When your heart is too big
when your heart is too big

thick like unsatisfied need
thick like unmatched love

play that goddamn music
loud,

finger it like a piccolo trumpet,

four valves
four valves,

my heart grows,
it wants to die,

it wants to give,

so much heart,
so much blood,

just one of four
valves

shut off

to stop

a lightning

storm.
